How To Overcome Being Stressed

How To Overcome Being Stressed

Remember a time when you felt stressed or overwhelmed by something you know you wanted to do but didn’t know how to do?  That’s exactly how I felt after I wrote my book Winning The Money Game and realized I wanted to make it a best seller but didn’t know how.  Here’s 3 simple steps I found to evict that stress like a bad tenant.  I call it the 3 R’s Realize, Release and Redirect.

First, Realize what the true source of the stress is: (it’s just the fear of doing something new and last I checked, not knowing how to do something stopped Thomas Edison or The Wright Brothers, so it shouldn’t stop me);

Next is Release (you want to release all of the toxins and self- sabotaging thoughts that don’t serve you like I can’t do this or I’m not good enough.  Your job is to take those thoughts captive and prevent them from getting deep into your subconscious mind, or your spirit man).

Final step is to Redirect instead of Accept.  Rather than using definitive and conclusive statements like I can’t, you redirect them into open-ended questions that put your mind’s creative to work.  Once an “I can’t” is redirected to questions like (How can I become a Best Seller, What are the top 3 things best-selling authors did to make their book a best seller).  You then realize that Once I do the top 3 things best-selling authors have done, I too will be a best-selling author.  Going through this process allowed me to make my book Winning The Money Game, an Amazon best seller the week it was released in 2012.

The Key To Getting Whatever You Want In Life Part 1

The Key To Getting Whatever You Want In Life Part 1

Hey, do you want to know the key to getting whatever you want in Life?  Today, I’m going to show you one key to do so and it all starts with the word DESIRE.

By desire, I’m not talking about a hope or a want.  I’m talking about an idea you’ve held onto for so long, it’s become an I have to have it.  It’s become a Desire.  And more than a desire, as your heart rages with emotion and longing for this thing, it becomes a burning desire.  It’s now something you go to bed thinking about.  You wake up thinking about it.  You think about it so much that it’s become an all-consuming obsession.  You’re so consumed by this idea, that it’s become the most dominant thought in your mind.  When something becomes the most dominant thought in your mind, it broadcasts energy signals all around you that demands that desire be fulfilled.  When a baby can’t talk and they have a strong desire for something, maybe to eat, they broadcast a signal, that signal is an opera like cry for help that is so loud that even if that’s not your baby, you attention is immediately drawn to that baby to ensure that it’s desire is met.

So, to get whatever you want in life, we need look no further than a screaming baby to realize that a strong desire is all it takes.  Or you can look to Napoleon Hill who said “The starting point of all achievement is desire.  Weak desires bring weak results, just as a small amount of fire makes a small amount of heat.”

How To Finish Your Goals Part 3

How To Finish Your Goals Part 3

Are you frustrated from looking at the long trail of goals you started but never finished? I mentioned in another video that only 8% of people who set goals actually achieve them.  One of many reasons for this is I believe is people fail to apply the law of consistency in achieving their goals.

While you may be initially motivated when you set your goals, it’s discipline that will keep you grounded and focused when the path to goal achievement gets rocky.  Another way I spell discipline is being faithful.  To achieve your goals, ask yourself: Are you faithful to your goals? Are you faithful to the dream it represents? Are you faithful to the person you’ll become by achieving the goal? Has this goal become the most dominant thought in your mind? Do you go to bed thinking about it? Do you wake up thinking about it?

Do thoughts about this goal consume your mind like thoughts about the first girl or boy you fell in love with? In Proverbs it says many men claim to have unfailing love but a faithful man who can find?  Will your goals find you to be faithful to them?  Being faithful is what being disciplined looks like and being disciplined is what puts the law of consistency to work in your favor to achieve your goals.  Don’t just go through the intellectual process of setting a goal.  Rather be disciplined, be faithful, and apply the lawful process of consistency to achieve your goals.

How To Make The Most Productive Use Of Your Time

How To Make The Most Productive Use Of Your Time

I’m going to show you EXACTLY how to have your most productive days ever at your job, at your home or in your business.

This productivity hack I’m about to teach you is based on the concept of less is more.  For years, I’d keep a running TO DO List that was 6 pages long and I’d never seem to get things done.  And like most studies have shown, in a typical 8-hour work day, I’d be lucky if 3 of those 8 hours were actually productive.  All of that changed when I started using the Pomodoro Technique with my Productivity Planner from the folks at Intelligent Change.  Here are the 5 steps I follow for maximum productivity.

Step (1) Each night, I write down 3 to 5 tings I plan to get done the next day;

Step (2) I rank them from highest to lowest priority;

Step (3) In the morning, I start working on the task with the highest priority in uninterrupted blocks of time;

Step (4) Only move on to task #2 when I’ve completed task #1;

Step (5) Repeat the process.  So there you have it, my 5 steps to making the most productive use of your time.

As Peter Drucker said, “Until we can manage time, we can manage nothing else.”

How To Influence People To Help You Reach Your Goals

How To Influence People To Help You Reach Your Goals

Do you want to know how some people pull off the impression of being a networking ninja and easily get people to help them reach their goals?

If you’re like most people at a networking event, you’re typically there with a WIIFM approach, trying to figure out what’s in it for me, which contact can I make today to make a sale.  Take it from a guy who’s failed miserably with that tactic, that’s the absolute wrong approach.  If you want to win friends and influence people as a Networking Ninja, you’ll have to draw upon some biblical wisdom that says it’s better to give than it is to receive.  Think of it this way, no one tries to make a withdrawal from a bank account they haven’t made a deposit in right?

So, when you show genuine interest in helping others reach their goals and you make a deposit of value first in the relationships you drum up at networking events, you then earn the right to ask for a referral, an introduction or even new business.  The good book says a gift opens the way for the giver and ushers them into the presence of influential people.  So, to win friends and influence people as a networking ninja, give a gift of value first.
